"Paris ville lumière et romantique capitale de la mode et du luxe."

Paris, the city of light and romance, capital of fashion and luxury, the place where every girl dreams to travel, the place I've always wanted to visit since young. There were some bad moments and some good memories when I was in Paris last spring. My trip to Paris did not start off well. My flight was cancelled, took the bus and it took 18 hours to reach Paris.

1. Reviving childhood memories at Disneyland Paris
Staying in Disneyland Hotel after a long long journey and ended our first night with a dinner buffet at the hotel.

We start off our day with breakfast at the hotel, having french croissants and pain au chocolat, excited to experience the magic of Disney through the eyes of our adult self.

And of course, I just couldn't resist myself getting a Minnie headband!

One of the things that I truly enjoyed here is the firework display, with many familiar songs to sing along to as well as an spectacular projection,

This really was a wonderful experience, bringing out the child in me and looking back at these moments fills me with a sense of nostalgia.

2. Musée du Louvre
We went to the Louvre on an early morning and it is free entrance for students. Sweet! Musée du Louvre is by far the most famous museum in the world holding the masterpiece, Mona Lisa.

The building is just stunning and beautiful. There were 3 couples taking wedding photos here! It's one of the hotspot for wedding photoshoots.

3. A visit to Palace of Versailles
After visiting the Louvre, we hopped on a train to the stunning Palace of Versailles just outside of Paris. The Palace of Versailles also known as Château de Versailles is one of the most beautiful achievements of 18th century French art. It is listed for the past 30 years as a UNESCO World Heritage.

This is one of the bedchambers in the palace. There's just too many of them, I don't remember which on this is! Look at all the lavishness!
This tiny little bed is just too cute
Among the most famous rooms in the palace are the Galerie des Glaces, Hall of Mirrors. The hall is characterized by 17 wide arcaded mirrors opposite 17 windows, glass chandeliers hang from its arched and ornately painted ceiling. C'est tres magnifique

4. An evening walk through Montmartre
We had a short visit to Montmartre after Versailles. Montmartre is the highest point in the city of Paris. It was really lively, with many street performances along the way, people singing and dancing.

After our walk, we had dinner nearby, at a little restaurant called Un Zèbre à Montmartre. I had one of the best duck dishes here, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Yums!

5. Loire Valley
We had a short trip to Loire Valley, it was about 2 hours away from Paris. We were only able to visit one of the château in Loire Valley and that is the Château de Chenonceau. It is one of the most famous château in Loire Valley, spanning the River Cher.

Achingly beautiful
There are many rooms in the château. Every corner of the château is beautiful.

We didn't do much in Loire Valley. We had a simple stroll around the town

5. Notre Dame de Paris, Arc de Triomphe and Love Lock Bridge

We spent the rest of our trip wandering among some of the main attractions, stopping for coffee and macaroons and shopping in this gorgeous city.

The french romantic story, 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' is centred in this cathedral, Notre Dame de Paris. We had a short stop here before heading back to our place.

Arc de Triomphe is one of the famous monuments in Paris, honouring those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.

Love lock bridge of Paris, the symbol of undying love? Ever wonder why Paris is the city of romance? All you have to do is to look at the bridges of Paris to see it being displayed in full force! 6. La Tour Eiffel, la grande Dame de Paris
Eiffel Tower, the tower of romance is one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Few visitors ever leave Paris without seeing it. Unsurprisingly, the Eiffel Tower is among the first stops for most visitors.
Night view of the Eiffel Tower
We took a short walk to the tower after having our dinner, taking touristy pictures with and of Tour Eiffel. Every night, the Eiffel Tower is embellished with its golden covering and sparkles for 5 minutes every hour. The view at night is exceptional with its beacon shines over Paris.
Look at that bling!
We went to the Eiffel Tower again before we leave for the airport, just to enjoy the view once more in daylight. The structure is really beautiful and impressive.

Paris it is the city of romance, seeing couples holding hands walking through the park and enjoying the city. I will come back to Paris again sometimes and hopefully with my future spouse, having breakfast together at the hotel balcony, looking out and enjoy the view of Tour Eiffel in the morning.
